The beauty industry is ever-evolving. I feel fortunate to be part of an industry and profession that I am passionate about. I love all aspects of my work, most importantly the relationships I have built over the years. There is an intimacy to working on someone so closely. It is not always a matter of improving one’s appearance, oftentimes it’s as simple as creating a connection. My greatest joy is helping people to feel better about themselves and that means something different to everyone.
I graduated from Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics with a certificate in esthetics and spa therapy in 1998. My training went beyond the science of skin and the practice of professional skincare. I learned a holistic approach to skincare; aromatherapy and energy work were very much a part of my training. As professional skincare moves in a direction of more intensive medical-level treatments I believe in a comprehensive approach.
The combination of my initial training, years of experience, and advanced education has allowed me the opportunity to refine my skills to offer results-focused treatments, all while keeping in mind the overall well-being of my clients.
Although skincare is my love and passion, I am also a licensed cosmetologist, having attended Graham Webb Academy in Arlington, VA, and Blaine Hair Academy in Malden, MA.
